Parai Voice Of Revolution
Who we are!
“Parai voice of revolution” troupe has embraced this ancient Parai musical instrument to symbolize Tamils among the diverse communities living in Britain.
In addition, Parai was also used as percussion during festivities, tragic events, funeral processions, religious rites, weddings and during fun events. Parai’s rhythmic has a stimulating effect on listeners that makes them sway/leap.

பழம் பெரும் வரலாற்றைக் கொண்ட பறையிசையானது மேலைத்தேய கலாசாரத்தவர்கள் மத்தியிலும், மற்றும் பல் கலாசாரத்தவர்கள் வாழும் பிரித்தானியாவில் “தமிழ் இனத்தை” அடையாளப்படுத்தும் ஒரு முக்கிய கருவியாக “parai voice of revolution” குழுவினராலும் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

பல்வேறு நிகழ்வுகளுக்குப் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வந்த பறையிசையானது இந்நவீன காலத்தில் வளர்ச்சியடைந்த லண்டன் மாநகரத்தின் பிரசித்தி வாய்ந்த இடங்களிலெல்லாம் ஈழத்தமிழர் 2009 ஆம் ஆண்டு இலங்கை அரசாங்கத்தினால் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட கொடூரமான இனவழிப்புக்கு எதிரான நீதி கேட்கும் போராட்டங்களில் எல்லாம் பயன்படுத்தி வருகின்றனர். இதனால் எமது இனத்துக்கு இழைக்கப்பட்ட அநீதியினை பல சமூகத்தவர் மத்தியில் இலகுவாக எடுத்துச்செல்லும் ஒரு உன்னத ஊடகமாக பறையிசை இன்று பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது. ஒருபுறம் பலசமூகத்தவர்களைத் துள்ளியாட வைத்து மகிழ்வித்தும், இன்னொரு புறம் ஈழத்தமிழர் தமது இனத்தின் துன்பங்களை அவர்களுக்கு எடுத்துச் சொல்வதற்கும் இது உதவுகிறது.
